Customer reviews
Excellent Value. Works w Walmart Family Mobile SIM as TracFone bought WFM in 2016 & Runs on T-Mobile
Amazing phone for the money
Lenovo has done a fantastic job since it acquired Motorola.

Like my prior Motorola fones, this one has minimal bloatware for a near stock Android experience.
Just a few easy to remove pre-installed games, and easy to remove Facebook app as well.
FM radio app can't be removed, but it was easy to deactivate.

Note:
This fone will not work with a T-Mobile SIM, it requires a TracFone SIM.
Even though TracFone does use in fact use T-Mobile towers, amongst others.

Does work perfectly with my Walmart Family Mobile SIM card (running T-Mobile), as WFM is 100% owned by TracFone.
Therefore, my WFM SIM is actually a Tracfone SIM card, connecting to the T-Mobile network.

No tweaks during set up were needed, such as modifying the Access Point Name (APN).
Put my SIM in, powered up, and followed prompts during set up.

Even better, wirelessly copied all settings and apps from my old fone.
Followed prompts on both fones, to both grant and accept permission to copy.
With 55 apps, took about 1 hour, but a very easy and automated process.

Only "downside" of fone is large size, which is a plus for many.
But, I'm quickly getting used to moving from a 5.5 inch phone, to this 6.5 inch.

Also, greatly appreciate moving from a 16GB phone to this 32GB.
Being able to keep as many Apps as one likes, and without needing to clear cache weekly to free up space for existing apps, is a huge upgrade, and big convivence.

Yes, Apps can stored on an SD, but it's already near full of music, movies, and photos.

I'm not a "gamer" so the 3GB of RAM works perfectly.
No lags even when multi-tasking, etc.

My only multi-tasking is listening to music via streaming or via an app from SD stored music, while a fitness tracker in running.
Worked fine with prior Moto e6 2GB RAM fone, and still no problem with this 3GB RAM fone.

 I love my phone
I purchased this phone so I do not give out my real mobile number out. I actually do love it because it was easy to set up. My parents even use it to contact their medical providers. This way we do not receive any spam or telemarked callers. We use this phone has the main landline number and I set up a voicemail also on it. I recommend it for those that are looking for an additional phone and do not want to place a real house phone. I use WIFI to call people, and also a pre-paid Tracfone card that I purchased from Walmart. It is definitely a great phone and cheap. This will be perfect for kids to use.

Does what really expensive phones do
For $60!!. 5G android 13.0 operating system after the automatic update. Tracfone buys huge blocks of time from Verizon, its partner, so I get crystal clear calls no matter where I go. 32Gb of memory is plenty for most needs. This phone is locked, however, so you have to buy a plan from tracfone. One of their best is the $30 all-you-can-use plan for both data, texts and voice. $34 after taxes and such.
I buy the cheapest plan because I don't use the phone that much. $18 after taxes for 500 minutes, anywhere in the US (except Alasaka), 500MB data, and 500 texts and 30 days to use. Whatever you don't use rolls over, and over. Right now, my minutes, texts and data don't expire until October 2025. I have over 20GB of data and 20,000 texts stored up. I use about 500 minutes in two months, so that's $9 a month that I pay for everything. AND NO PHONE BILL which is so cool. And no ads from third party companies that the regular guys put your info out all over the place, so you're always getting spam and junk mail.
Highly recommended, especially if you want to get off the grid.

Solid phone with great screen
This phone is solid, nice feel, good weight, attractive in looks and easy to use. For it's price, it is a great phone. Even though my previous phone still works great, it is 16 GB and I was running out of memory for apps. I had to start removing apps as with each update of each app, they seemed to bloat taking up more and more memory. That led me to needing a new phone with 32 GB of memory which led me to this phone. Previously I always used LG Tracfones but I read LG is no longer making inexpensive Tracfones which is probably why they are no longer on Tracfone's website. I always wondered how the Motorola phones were so when I saw this at a great price I bought it. I have not connected it to Tracfone service yet as I want to have it setup to my liking before I do. Even though it is still Android there are some differences with the Moto settings and its use of the features that make me prefer the LG phones but nothing that would make me not like it or want to use it. My only complaint is no where on the Amazon listing for this phone did it say whether it is GSM or CDMA so I don't know whether Tracfone in my area will accept this phone. The packing list said CDMA but according to Motorola's website it is GSM. Then I read that Tracfone was bought by Verizon and as of November 2023 Tracfone plans will be changed. There is some confusion whether Verizon is still CDMA or not. So I don't know whether I will be able to use this phone after Verizon takes over. Or whether I would stay with Verizon depending on their pricing policies for previous Tracfone customers. But it is still a great phone so far.

Everything I want at a much lower price
For techies, this is obsolete. If you need the latest model with the most memory and fastest processor so you can impress your friends and family dog; this isn't for you. For those of us who just want a mobile phone that can text, stream cat videos while you are in boring meetings, or play mindless games so you can distract yourself from what you are supposed to be doing, this is an inexpensive option. It connects to wifi so you aren't burning minutes on your plan for things other than calls and texts -if you have access to wifi and you set the phone to connect to wifi. NOTE: The autocorrect keeps changing wifi to wife. I suggest you don't set it to connect to your wife -unless you and your wife are into those kind of things. No judgment.

I've been avoiding cell phones for years, so I haven't kept track. (Now I need a contract so I can confirm things with texts. It's a conspiracy, man!!!) I suspect this model was popular a few years ago. Now it is out of fashion, but still entirely functional. Combine it with a Tracphone $60.00 per year plan, and you are good to go for occasionally receiving/sending occasional texts, or having a means of contacting people when you aren't near your primary phone(s). You can also disconnect in the middle of a diatribe, and then blame it on having an older model phone. (I really miss "hanging-up", touching the disconnect icon just doesn't have the same closure. Motorola needs to add a sound effect of a phone receiver slamming down when you disconnect. Hmmm, now that I think of it, it may already exist. Hmmm, if it doesn't exist, maybe I can copyright it. Be right back, gonna check... Dang! there are 103 sound effects to download. I'll check them out later to see if there is a slamming phone receiver. Don't steal my idea.)

WARNING: This is a "locked" phone. That means that you must use a Tracphone contract. If you buy this phone, don't complain that an ATT, T-Mobile, or Joe's Budget Cell Phone Plan with free fries, doesn't work. <shrug> Sorry, I couldn't rate Battery Life or Tech Support. I don't use it heavily, and I don't have it off the charger for days at a time. I haven't needed tech support.
